Develop, test, and implement current, safe, and cost-effective technologies for the design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of transportation facilities.

Improve pavement performance and reduce life cycle cost. Research for design, pavement management, and maintenance include a broad range of topics that include most of the topics identified in the flexible, rigid, and soils and geotechincal categories, plus pavement evaluation techniques, condition forecasting, and pavement preservation such as surface treatments and joint sealing and crack treatments.
