North Central Pavement Research and
Implementation Coordination Partnership

Welcome

The North Central Pavement Research and Implementation Coordination Partnership (originally the Frozen Four) was created in 2005 to facilitate effective information sharing and coordinated implementation efforts related to highway pavement research. State DOTs, universities and FHWA participated in this exciting pooled fund project.

Project completed
In early 2009 the North Central Pavement Research and Implementation Coordination Partnership completed its work and was brought to a close. See the summary of activities outlining how the pooled fund met its objectives. This document also proposes how North Central Pavement's completed work and strategic plans could be incorporated into the efforts of other multistate partnerships, such as the Transportation Engineering and Road Research Alliance.

As a resource for transportation researchers and other stakeholders, this site will remain online as it appeared in early 2009 to serve as an archive of North Central Pavement's activities and deliverables. This is a service of the Wisconsin Highway Research Program, which provided administrative management of the North Central Pavement pooled fund.
